HOW ARE YOU PAYING FOR COLLEGE????

The College and Career Center will host another FAFSA Friday on November 24th from noon - 6pm in the MWHS Library. FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) experts will be available in the MWHS Library from noon to 6:00 p.m. to help students AND parents/guardians fill out their FAFSA. Play-off Results: West Football Defeats Leander Rouse 42-24

The football team defeated Leander Rouse 42-24 in the Bi-District Round of the play-offs. These student athletes will play in the area round against the winner of the Corsicana and Temple game. The area round game will be November 24 at Baylor University. Game time is to be determined. There will be a charter spirit bus for the game. Students need to check their school email for details on signing up for the charter bus.

Sign Up for Chili and Bean Cook-Off!

Sign-ups for the FFA Chili and Bean cook-off on Thursday, December 7th have begun. You do not need to be in FFA in order to compete. All you need is a team with 1 adult and 4 students. FFA Wins Multiple Awards at District 5 Leadership Development Events

Students in FFA recently competed at the District 5 Leadership Development Event. The students won 1st Place in Radio Broadcasting, 2nd Place in Junior Creed Speaking, 3rd place in Senior Quiz, 3rd place in Junior Quiz, 7th place in Senior Creed Speaker, 7th place in Job Interview, and 8th place in Public Relations. Radio Broadcasting and Junior Creed will be advancing to the Area competition.

Boys Varsity Basketball Wins Against Houston Memorial

The boys Varsity basketball team recently traveled to Houston Memorial and came home with a 72 to 66 victory. Jaylen Wysinger led all scorers with 22 points. Logan Greathouse and Cameron Carter both added 13 points. Michael Stamps and Connor Sellars were also in double digits with 10 points each.

Robotics Team Continues to Shine

This weekend the robotics team competed at the 2017 Remix Championships. The team overcame numerous challenges including crashing networks, failing equipment, and 31 of the top international teams to take 4th place in the tournament.
