BIO

Hello West Nation! My name is Dr. Jeanie McCusker and I am the College & Career Counselor. I earned my Bachelor of Arts from The University of Tennessee (Go VOLS!), my Master of Arts from Stephen F. Austin State University (Go Lumberjacks!) and my Doctor of Education in Counseling from The University of Memphis (Go Tigers!). I am a Licensed Professional Counselor - Supervisor and a Certified School Counselor. This year marks my 17th year in education and my 15th year as a Counselor. Prior to moving to Magnolia ISD, I was a high school counselor at Lufkin High School, taught graduate Counseling courses at SFA and had a small private practice. My husband and I have been married 18 years and are the proud parents of three Magnolia ISD students!
I am very excited to be on this journey with your student and look forward to helping your student plan his/her ACT (Armed Forces, College or Technical Training) after high school! Our College & Career Zone is a place where every student is welcome and encouraged to come in and plan for his/her future!
