Welcome to Magnolia West High School, a campus whose focus is the personal and academic growth of all students. As the Academic Achievement Coordinator, it is my responsibility to work with students who struggle academically in their classes, or who struggle on the End of Course (EOC) exams. Working closely with Ms. Griffin, our assessment coordinator, I track the students who have not been successful on their required EOC exams for graduation, and establish a remediation plan for those students. I create the remediation sessions and provide practice materials and resources for the individualized students needs.
I began my teaching career in 2001 working with at-risk students. From the beginning, my passion has always been working with students who needed a little extra instruction and TLC. I truly believe building relationships with students is the key to success. Throughout my career I have served as a team leader, department chair, and am a five time recipient of the Teacher of the Year award. I am passionate about my job and the students I work with daily. If there is ever anything I can assist you or your child with, please do not hesitate to call or email. I will be glad to help in any way I can.
