Lady Mustangs Advance to Area Championship Round

After a decisive victory over Tomball Memorial 2/12, our Lady Mustangs Basketball team advances to the Area Championship Round. Their next game will be vs. Georgetown Friday, February 15th at 7 pm in Hearne, Good luck Lady Mustangs!

Academic Decathlon Team Wins Big at Regional Competition

On February 9th, Magnolia West High School Academic Decathlon Team placed 2nd in Regional Competition. They also placed 2nd in Superquiz Bowl and took home 33 individual awards. "This team worked very hard, practicing many hours even during the holidays, to prepare for competition. I am so honored to coach them and very proud of their accomplishments." said their coach, Catherine Page.

SAT Bootcamp at MWHS

Catalyst's two-day SAT Bootcamp at MWHS arms students with strategies for every question on the SAT. The SAT Bootcamp will be at MWHS Saturday, February 23, 9:00 am - 1:00 pm and Monday, February 25, 7:30 am - 11:30 am. Students will attend both days.

Shattered Lives Program Coming to MWHS 3/21 & 3/22

This is a 2-day event at MWHS that is designed to teach students about the reality of drinking and driving. The dates of the program are March 21 and March 22. Approximately 80 junior and seniors will be allowed to participate as actors/victims in the program.

Students interested in participating will be REQUIRED to attend two mandatory meetings with a guardian. Mandatory Meeting #1 is Tuesday, February 19 at 6:30 pm in the MWHS Library. Mandatory Meeting #2 is Wednesday, March 6, also at 6:30 pm in the MWHS Library.

TEAM UP: Parent & Community Engagement Night Hidden in Plain Sight

As part of Magnolia ISD’s TEAM UP series (Together Educating All Magnolia ISD), on Wednesday, February 27 at 6:30 p.m at the Magnolia Event Center, parents are invited to browse through a mock teen bedroom to notice signs that might indicate underage alcohol use, vaping, or other drug use.

MISD College Symposium

Join Keynote Speaker Matthew Finley, Magnolia High School Graduate, at the MISD College Symposium on February 21st at the MISD Event Center, 6:00-8:00 pm. Join Breakout Sessions regarding ACT and SAT, How to write a College Admissions Essay and visit with college representatives from around the country.

Annual Student Information Update - NEW!

Every year, Magnolia ISD requires parents to update student information for each child enrolled. Updating student information regularly is vital to ensure the correct guardian information, emergency contacts, phone numbers, etc. This allows the district and campus the ability to respond in a timely and appropriate manner in case of emergency.

President Bush Engine 41

At 1:00 pm on Thursday, Dec. 6, MWHS students will gather on the practice football fields to view the train carrying Pres. Bush as it passes our school. We will also live-stream the train passing on our Jumbo-Tron screen. We will be live-streaming in our commons as well for those students who do not wish to go to the fields.

We will be on an alternate bells schedule for this historical day (click on the headline for the bell schedule). We plan to dismiss at 2:30 pm. We do expect delays in our bus routes due to heavy traffic.

Senior Parent Night

Senior Parent Night is Thursday, September 27 at 6:30 pm. Come out and learn everything about what it means to be a senior at MWHS!

PSAT Registration Opens 8/31/18

Registration opens on Aug. 31 for the Oct. 10 PSAT at MWHS. This registration is open to all 9th and 11th grade students. Register with Ms. Anaya in the counselor's office. Cost is $16 (checks payable to MISD). Deadline to register is Sept. 10. NOTE: All 10th grade students are registered and paid for by the district.
