AP Testing Information
Update for AP testing as of April 3rd, 2020 due to school closures:
Our AP teachers will continue to provide targeted instruction through their Student Learning Plans to help our students be successful on these newly structured exams. The following links have newly released information fro College Board concerning the AP Exam Schedule and a statement on AP Exam Security
Students at MWHS enrolled in an AP course are expected to take the AP exam for that course in May. Please remember that MISD policy states that weighted credit will not be granted if a student fails to take the eligible course's AP exam. Students may also choose to take AP exams for courses in which they are not currently enrolled.
Each AP exam costs $40. If the student qualifies for free or reduced lunches, the cost is reduced to $10 per exam. Students have until October 23rd, 2019 to pay for any AP exams offered in May of 2020. There is a penalty charge applied for any tests ordered after this date. If a student pays for an exam that they decide they do not want to take, they can receive a full refund up until November 8th, 2019.
Home school students wishing to register for AP exams must contact Jeremy Day at firstname.lastname@example.org to receive more information about how to register. The fees are the same as students enrolled at MWHS. College Board recommends that home school students or their guardians make contact by September 4th, 2019 to register for exams in May of 2020.
