Principal's Bio

Welcome to Magnolia West High School! I am in my second year as Principal of Magnolia West High School, and I've enjoyed getting to know and work with its amazing students, staff, parents, and community members. I've been a proud member of Magnolia ISD for eleven years, serving as a junior high and high school English teacher and coach, curriculum coordinator, academic coordinator, and principal. I have also served as an Adjunct Professor of English at Lone Star College.
I earned my Bachelor of Arts in English from East Texas Baptist University, Master of Arts in English from Belmont University, and Doctor of Education from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor.
I am married to Heather King, who works as a pediatric nurse practitioner in Willis, Spring, and Tomball. We have been happily married for 13 years and have a daughter, AnnElise King, who attends Magnolia Intermediate School, and a son, Langston King, who attends Nichols Sawmill Elementary. We attend First Baptist Church of Conroe, where Heather enjoys teaching Sunday School and I serve as a Deacon.
I am looking forward to another great year at Magnolia West High School. I am blessed to serve such talented and dedicated students and staff members and partner with such a supportive and caring group of parents and community members.
