Welcome! Thanks for visiting my web page. I am excited to work with Art students and seeing their creative thinking blossom.
This year I begin my 17th year with Magnolia ISD and, my fourth year at Magnolia West High School. My husband and two daughters (now adults) moved to Magnolia from Spring in 1999
I became interested in art at an early age. Growing up in upstate New York, I lived in the beauty of a natural environment; mountains, rivers, glacial lakes, caves and, the four seasons. These natural elements were a great source of creative inspiration for me. My first art experiences were with a camera, later developing an interest in other media for more personal expression.

I was also lucky enough to be exposed to the arts from an early age. New York City was less than 2 hours away. Several times a year, my family would take the train to see a Broadway show, visit art museums or see a performance at Carnegie Hall.

Ever since I was in high school, I loved being in the art room, even after school. It was a place I felt "at home".  I enjoy and appreciate every aspect of the creative process involved in making art. To me, art education is an extremely important component in developing a balanced life. I strive to create a welcoming environment for my students so they might begin or, continue their creative journey.
